Empowering Growth, Cultivating Expertise:

Your Path to Excellence in Vegetation Management

Texas Vegetation Management Association was established in 1992 when a group of managers recognized the need for fostering statewide training and professionalism within the state’s vegetation management industry. Holding the initial planning meeting in Austin, Texas, on May 14, 1991, the founding members aimed at structuring a useful statewide organization for Texas vegetation managers.

Since then, TVMA membership has grown steadily to include a broad scope of vegetation managers and support staff who keep Texas roads soundly managed throughout the diverse ecologies of the Lone Star State.

The TVMA board of directors is comprised of volunteers who advise on four key areas.

SCHOLARSHIP

Our scholarship fund has provided thousands of dollars to deserving students majoring in forestry, range management, and other industry-related disciplines at junior colleges and universities across Texas.  Corporate contributions, the annual golf and fishing tournament and other events support the scholarship fund.

LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS

Educating the public, policymakers and business community about issues critical to the vegetation management industry is an ongoing effort, and an annual visit with key legislators, staff and state agencies has helped these efforts greatly.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES:

Outside of the Annual Conference, TVMA also sponsors training opportunities through which members can receive Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).
